The best way I can describe it is that I am her side dish. Her boyfriend James is the main dish. I am the thing that is there but it's not just about me. Most people just assume that I am jealous. But it's more than that. It's getting so old to be the one who she calls when James is working or James is going out with his friends. She doesn't even pretend to make me important she'll say "Oh, James is _________ do you wanna get dinner." It's like GRRRR! I don't even understand why I bother. She only wants to do things with me when I can't. Like when I do stuff with Erin she gets all pissy so she's like "We'll do something on Tuesday." Then I called her tonight and she was all "Oh, I don't know exactly what I'm doing for sure." SLAP IN THE FACE. So I made plans with Erin. Erin the friend who even though she works two jobs, has a two year old and a boyfriend she ALWAYS has time for me. I never feel like the fill in. I want to tell her my feelings but I don't like rocking the boat. So I guess I'll just be the frustrated side dish.
