..rain on my parade
stale

I used to be a good friend. But I'm not anymore. Jessica found all the letters I sent her in college (three years ago)when she was cleaning her room. There had to be millions of them. When I was a good friend I would mail her letters DAILY. She was having a hard time leaving home so I wrote her letters daily so she could have a taste of home still. Somedays I would write little things that were going on at home, or lyrics to songs or quotes or just a random memory. I came up with all these unique cards to send her and little presents. I can't even imagine doing that now. We get together maybe twice a month. It feels more like something I have to do. Because we have been friends for so long. It's kind of like things have gone stale.
