..rain on my parade
frog prince

Are crushes something that you can grow out of? I thought that once I got out of highschool I would immediatly become this mature woman who would fall in love with Mr. Right, ride off into the sunset with a happily ever after. But now my twenty first birthday is approaching and I am still single and I still live with those silly safe crushes.

Crushes as frustrating as they might be are the safest way in which to like someone. You can live in your safe little fantasy world where "your" guy remains perfect. He probably always opens the doors for you, sends you flowers when you've had a bad day and of course is the most fabulous kisser ever on the face of the earth. Once you move past the fantasy stage into reality you'll be dissapointed to realize that your "Mr. Right" has nothing mentally stimulating to say unless of course it has somethingto do with some sport, he drinks to much and to often and he kisses like a fish. That is a major reason girls like me will spend long lengths of time gushing over a guy but never move to that next step. We are afraid that our prince will turn into a frog. Take
