When I was a senior in highschool I was best friends with Jessica.Jessica's other good friend was Erin who went to another school.Me and Erin had been sort of friends while in middle school but lost contact. Erin got pregnant mid senior year. Jessica very upset because Erin had planned on getting an abortion. She kept asking me what she should do, but I hadn't any answers either. I told her that she would just have to be there for Erin. I am very against abortion. I knew there wasn't anything that I could do either. So I did the only thing I could do and that was pray. I've never been a very strong christian. I believe in God but my bible tends to have a thick layer of dust on it and I don't choose to attend church often. But the only thing I could think to do was pray. Erin was scheduled to have her abortion on Friday and my family and I were leaving for vacation on Thursday. I kept having nightmares about the situation because there was nothing I could do.
When I got home I finally got around to asking Jessica how Erin was doing. She looks at me in amazement and said "Didn't I tell you? She didn't go through with it." There was no change of heart from Erin she simply had been too far along. But I was so relieved. You can't say there wasn't some kind of miracle that took place then.
Logan Riley was born on October of 1999. He is now two and my dream come true. I can't imagine him not being around. He was a miracle in Erin's life. Most people say that having a child that young would ruin your life but in her case it turned her life around. She loves that little guy so much. I can tell that she does not regret the outcome of her mistake.
